The ThyssenKrupp project "drive for Operational Performance and Excellence" (OPX) continues its program in 2017.

You can find some topics about last months activities below:

3rd OPX Group Meeting
On January 24th they held their third OPX Group Meeting – which was again a great opportunity to collaborate with over 150 people from all regions, Business Units and plants on present and future drive topics.
In his motivating speech, their CEO Heinrich Hiesinger emphasized the importance of Operational Excellence within the entire thyssenkrupp  Group and pointed out drive as the key driver to achieve the future business targets. Together with the new digitalization topics on the drive agenda, these statements introduced the overall motto of the meeting: “drive the future”.

As a friendly competition along with the acknowledgement of achievements is a central part of our OPX culture, the awards were again one of the event’s highlights.
We congratulate the winning teams and plants!

Digitalization

Internet of Things or Industry 4.0? We didn’t concentrate on the wording, but focused instead on the possible impacts! Not only during several Breakout Sessions, the OPX community discussed intensively the chances and challenges of digitalization for our businesses and again we could observe close interaction as all sessions were presented by cross-BU teams.
During the day the identification of different use cases were part of the talks as well as two impressive robotics examples presented by colleagues from Business Units Automotive Systems and Steering. The gathered results will now be the basis for our further activities in these fields of action.
