Berco received a small but prestigious award as a token of appreciation for the support and cooperation provided.

In January of this year, Berco was named official undercarriage parts supplier by Kubota Baumaschinen Gmbh for its 1.5 ton class machine, already in production at the Zweibrucken factory in Germany. And so Kubota too finally adds its name to the prestigious array of manufacturers on the Berco customer list. Since 1974, when it first started producing mini-excavators, Kubota’s sales have never ceased to expand and now, thanks to its production sites in Hirakata and Sakai in Japan and Zweibrucken in Germany (since 1989), it has a capacity of about 29,000 units a year. With its vast range of models — from 800 to 8000 kg - and its extensive dealer and distributor sales network, Kubota has become one of the most important ”mini” manufacturers in the world and the unchallenged leader in Europe. Initial contact was made in June 2009, followed by a series of visits to Zweibrucken by our representatives to define the technical details. The first samples were finalized, built and delivered by the middle of last year and the assembly parts for the pre-series were completed at the beginning of 2011. It was to mark this final stage that Kubota decided to present Berco with a small but prestigious award, as a token of its appreciation for the support given in completing the important lead—up to serial production.
The award, totally unexpected but very welcome, was immediately placed amongst the numerous accolades received by Berco in its over twenty-five years of active cooperation with the most important earth moving machinery OEMs in the world.
